#ContemporaryLifeStyle  – 2017, 2018, 2019

The #ContemporaryLifeStyle project brings together works conceived as an intergenerational game of imagination. #ContemporaryLifeStyle aims to be a critique of our generation, as well as a wake-up call from the consumerist narcosis of our times — an invitation to contemplation.

The artworks place the “elderly” in improbable situations, typical of our contemporary world, creating an absurd effect. However, we often forget one thing, within the sympathy — not entirely free of condescension — that we hold towards them: they have lived and adapted, facing challenges far greater than those we encounter today, and without having access to the solutions available to us.

They did not eat fast food, and yet they did not starve. They did not have dating apps, and most of them still found their life partners.

We are evolving rapidly, without taking the time to distinguish between useful and unnecessary things, between genuine needs and artificially induced dependencies. We no longer have the time or patience to reflect on ourselves because we are overwhelmed by solutions before we even become aware of the problems.
